(Re)wilding London: Fabric, politics, and aesthetics

open access: yesTransactions of the Institute of British Geographers, EarlyView.
Short Abstract Rewilding has become established as a new mode of nature conservation. Until recently, cities and the urban were neglected by rewilding discourse; the idea of urban rewilding seen as oxymoronic. Of late, however, there has been a shift, with growing enthusiasm amongst metropolitan authorities, civil society, and citizens in major cities.

Mitochondrial control of ciliary gene expression and structure in striatal neurons

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Neurons drive animal behaviour by receiving and transmitting information and require energy, primarily supplied by mitochondria, to function. Additionally, neurons need to sense environmental changes to adapt, a function that is locally played by the primary cilia.

Human sporadic breast carcinoma histotypes driven by the Human Betaretrovirus homologous to Mouse Mammary Tumor Virus

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 157, Issue 2, Page 371-383, 15 July 2025.
What's new? While estrogens, obesity, and alcohol are recognized risk factors for breast cancer, a viral hypothesis has been suggested based on the murine model of Mouse Mammary Tumor Virus (MMTV)‐induced mammary tumors. This study analyzed sequences of the human homolog of MMTV across human breast carcinoma histotypes, detecting the virus in all types

Macrophage Signaling Pathways in Health and Disease: From Bench to Bedside Applications

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 7, July 2025.
Macrophage functions in phagocytosis, tissue repair, immune regulation, and neuronal network protection. And graphic abract image in the attachment. ABSTRACT Macrophages exhibit remarkable functional plasticity by dynamically polarizing into proinflammatory or antiinflammatory subsets in response to microenvironmental cues. This duality underpins their
