Identification and Drug Screening of Single Cells from Human Tumors on Semiconductor Chip for Cancer Precision Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study innovatively integrates single‐cell electric impedance identification and drug screening on a semiconductor chip, addressing tumor heterogeneity limitations. The system achieves label‐free cancer cell recognition while concurrently evaluating drug efficacy on cancer cells and toxicity on noncancerous cells.

Transcription‐independent functions of p53 in DNA repair pathway selection

open access: yesBioEssays, Volume 45, Issue 1, January 2023., 2023
Transcription‐independent early recruitment and PARylation of p53 at DNA damage sites promotes the recruitment of particular repair factors (e.g. DDB1 and 53BP1) and thereby tipping the balance of repair pathway selection. Abstract Recently discovered transcription‐independent features of p53 involve the choice of DNA damage repair pathway after ...

Targeted Penetrating Motif Engineering of BH3 Mimetic: Harnessing Non‐Canonical Amino Acids for Coinhibition of MCL‐1 and BCL‐xL in Acute Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A structure‐guided peptide derived from a non‐canonical amino acid library simultaneously targets MCL‐1 and BCL‐xL to overcome apoptotic resistance in acute myeloid leukemia. Fused with a CXCR4‐binding motif, the engineered peptide exhibits selective intracellular delivery and potent in vivo efficacy, offering a promising therapeutic strategy against ...

Chromosomal breaks at the origin of small tandem DNA duplications

open access: yesBioEssays, Volume 45, Issue 1, January 2023., 2023
Small tandem DNA duplications form a specific mutational signature frequently found in human disease alleles and cancer genes. Here we hypothesize that these duplications mainly arise at chromosomal DNA breaks that result from two closely located single‐stranded nicks, through error‐prone repair by the non‐homologous end‐joining pathway. Abstract Small
