Hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether mediated sonodynamic antimicrobial chemotherapy on porphyromonas gingivalis in vitro.

Microbial Pathogenesis, 2020
This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether (HMME)-mediated sonodynamic antimicrobial chemotherapy (SACT) on Porphyromonas gingivalis (P. gingivalis). P. gingivalis (ATCC 33277) was used in the present study.

Study on the interaction between hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether and DNA and the determination of hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether using the resonance light scattering technique

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2010
The interaction between photosensitizer anticancer drug hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether (HMME) and ctDNA has been studied based on the decreased resonance light scattering (RLS) phenomenon. The RLS, UV-vis and fluorescence spectra characteristics of the HMME-ctDNA system were investigated.

Hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether-mediated photodynamic therapy temporarily relieves severe pruritis from phakomatosis pigmentovascularis: a case report.

Photodiagnosis and Photodynamic Therapy, 2021
Phakomatosis pigmentovascularis (PPV) is a rare congenital syndrome characterized by (a) capillary malformations, such as port-wine stain (PWS), and (b) pigmented lesions, such as pigmented trichoepidermal nevus, café-au-lait spots, and dermal ...

Hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether photodynamic therapy for the treatment of facial port-wine stains resistant to pulsed dye laser.

Photodiagnosis and Photodynamic Therapy, 2020
BACKGROUND Pulsed dye laser is the first treatment choice for port-wine stains. However, as some facial port-wine stains are resistant to this modality, we evaluated the efficacy and safety of hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether (hemoporfin) photodynamic ...

Hematoporphyrin Monomethyl Ether Enhances the Killing Action of Ultrasound on Osteosarcoma In Vivo

Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, 2009
Osteosarcoma is one of the most common malignant cancers afflicting young adults. Ultrasound is a new therapeutic modality for controlling malignant cancers. Enhancing the efficacy of ultrasound treatment will improve clinical outcomes. The aim of this study was to investigate the killing action of ultrasound on osteosarcoma enhanced by hematoporphyrin

Recent progress in hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether-photodynamic therapy for port-wine stains: updates and insights

Archives of Dermatological Research
Port-wine stains (PWS) are congenital vascular malformations characterized by capillary malformations that persist and often darken over time. Traditional treatment methods, including laser therapy, have shown varying degrees of effectiveness and can be associated with significant side effects.

Photodynamic inactivation of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and biofilms by hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether

Lasers in Medical Science, 2016
The worldwide increase in bacterial antibiotic resistance has led to a search for alternative antibacterial therapies. A promising approach to killing antibiotic-resistant bacteria is photodynamic antimicrobial chemotherapy, which uses light in combination with a photosensitizer to induce a phototoxic reaction.

Oxygen sensing properties of gadolinium labeled hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether based on filter paper

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2015
Abstract Oxygen sensing properties of a luminescent material gadolinium labeled hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether (Gd-HMME) based on filter paper were studied. Photoluminescence of Gd-HMME at 712 nm was confirmed to be phosphorescence by a time-resolved spectroscopic analysis and its dependence on oxygen.
