Sonodynamic effects of hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether on CNE‐2 cells detected by atomic force microscopy

Journal of Cellular Biochemistry, 2011
AbstractHematoporphyrin monomethyl ether (HMME) has been effectively used to treat solid tumors of some types. However, its application in nasopharyngeal carcinoma has not been studied yet. In this paper, the detailed sonodynamic effects of HMME‐SDT (sonodynamic therapy) on CNE‐2 cells including cell growth inhibition, apoptosis induction, and membrane

Insight into the Heavy Atom Effect Induced by Environmental Heavy Atoms for Gadolinium-Labeled Hematoporphyrin Monomethyl Ether.

Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2023
Environmental heavy atoms can further enhance the room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) emissions of gadolinium-labeled hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether (Gd-HMME) by way of the external heavy atom effect (HAE).

Clinical efficacy and safety of two different hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether‐mediated photodynamic therapy regimen in Chinese children with port‐wine stain

Experimental Dermatology, 2023
Hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether‐photodynamic therapy (HMME‐PDT) has achieved encouraging clinical outcomes in adult port‐wine stain (PWS). Optimal treatment option for children with PWS was minimal.

Study of hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether-mediated blue-light photodynamic therapy in the treatment of oral ulcers infected with Staphylococcus aureus: In vivo evaluation.

Photodiagnosis and Photodynamic Therapy, 2023
Clinical suppurative infection is mainly caused by Staphylococcus aureus. Although many antibiotics can be used to kill S. aureus, the resulting resistance problem is difficult to solve.

Spectral and photobleaching properties of hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether

SPIE Proceedings, 2002
The absorption spectrum, fluorescence excitation and emission spectrum of new photosensitive drug Hematoporphyrin Monomethyl Ether (HMME) in physiological saline with 10 percent human serum were obtained. Experimental results show that the maximum absorption peaks for HMME in physiological saline with 10 percent serum appear at 400nm in the soret ...

Binding Interactions of Hematoporphyrin Monomethyl Ether with Human Serum Albumin

2007 IEEE/ICME International Conference on Complex Medical Engineering, 2007
The binding of HMME derivative to human serum albumin(HSA) in aqueous solution was studied using fluorescence spectra and absorption spectra. It was shown that HMME has a powerful ability to quench the HSA fluorescence by a non-radiative energy transfer mechanism. The binding constant K were obtained by fluorescence quenching method.

Effects of Photodynamic Therapy Using Hematoporphyrin Monomethyl Ether on Experimental Choroidal Neovascularization

Photochemistry and Photobiology, 2010
AbstractHematoporphyrin monomethyl ether (HMME) is a novel and promising second‐generation porphyrin‐related photosensitizer for photodynamic therapy (PDT). To study the effects of HMME PDT on choroidal neovascularization (CNV) in rats, the PDT was performed 20 min after HMME bolus injection, which was investigated prior to the PDT by fluorescence ...
