De Novo Multi‐Mechanism Antimicrobial Peptide Design via Multimodal Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current AI‐driven peptide discovery often overlooks complex structural data. This study presents M3‐CAD, a generative pipeline that leverages 3D voxel coloring and a massive database of over 12 000 peptides to capture nuanced physicochemical contexts.

A Protein‐Centric Strategy Coupled with Match‐Between‐Run Glycoproteomics Enables Discovery of Robust Site‐Specific Glycan Biomarkers for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, a highly robust N‐glycoproteomics (HRN) platform with a newly developed match‐between‐run scheme is used for biomarker discovery. This study proposes a protein‐centric strategy to prioritize proteins susceptible to aberrant glycosylation.

Use of Magnetic Resonance Direct Thrombus Imaging for the Diagnostic Management of Suspected Thrombosis in Routine Clinical Practice

open access: yesTH Open
Background The noninvasive magnetic resonance direct thrombus imaging (MRDTI) technique can be used to diagnose acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT), without the use of intravenous contrast. MRDTI holds the potential to differentiate between acute

Promotion of DFU Wound Healing via BRG1–COL16A1 Axis in Fibroblasts

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In normal wound healing, transcription factor BRG1 is upregulated and binds the COL16A1 promoter to enhance its expression, promoting fibroblast proliferation, migration, contraction, extracellular matrix deposition, and granulation tissue formation, thus accelerating wound closure.

Hemostasis

open access: yes, 2018
The goal of this thesis is to explore some of the essential ‘factors that matter’ in hemostasis. Adequate hemostasis transforms liquid blood to a solid clot to prevent blood loss when vessel injury occurs. It requires the combined and regulated activity of endothelial, platelet and coagulation factors.

A Glucose‐Responsive Intelligent Antibacterial and Oxygen‐Producing Hydrogel Promotes the Healing of Diabetic Wounds by Regulating Cellular Heterogeneity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We have developed a glucose‐triggered on‐demand drug delivery CF‐CPGaMPN hydrogel based on borate ester bonds. It inactivates microbes, releases oxygen, and enables on‐demand drug release in high‐glucose environments to promote healing of diabetic wounds. Single‐cell sequencing reveals that the CF‐CPGaMPN hydrogel significantly alleviates dysfunctional

Injectable Chondroitin Sulfate Methacrylate Hydrogel Microspheres Co‐Loaded with GLPM Nanozyme, Dexamethasone, and Stem Cells for Synergistic Osteoarthritis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional injectable microsphere system is fabricated via UV‐assisted microfluidic cross‐linking, integrating nanozyme‐based ROS scavenging, sustained dexamethasone release, and stem cell delivery. Upon IA injection, the microspheres adapt to joint stress, suppress inflammation, and promote cartilage regeneration, offering a minimally invasive ...

Self‐Adaptive Allantoin@ZIF8 Nanocomposite Hydrogel with Resveratrol Synergy for MRSA‐Infected Wound Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on allantoin‐loaded ZIF8 nanoparticles (Alla@ZIF8) and methacrylated quaternary ammonium carboxymethyl chitosan/resveratrol composite hydrogels (RMQCC), an adaptive multifunctional hydrogel system (Alla@ZIF8‐Gel) was constructed and confirmed to induce the healing of MRSA‐infected wounds via suppressing bacterial proliferation, alleviating ...

Thrombin cleaves membrane-bound endoglin potentially contributing to the heterogeneity of circulating endoglin in preeclampsia

open access: yesCommunications Biology
Increased levels of soluble endoglin (sEng) are found in serum, plasma, and urine of preeclampsia patients. sEng is released from membrane-bound endoglin through the proteolytic activity of metalloproteases, but its structural heterogeneity suggests the ...
