Diabetes Increases Immunotherapy‐Related Toxicity but Not Efficacy in Metastatic Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer: A Multicenter Retrospective Study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This multicenter retrospective study evaluated the impact of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) on clinical outcomes and immune‐related adverse events (irAEs) in 450 patients with metastatic non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treated with second‐line nivolumab at 17 centers between 2016 and 2024. Epigenetic Regulation in the Pathogenesis of Renal Inflammation: Insights and Therapeutic Potentials

open access: yesiNew Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Renal inflammation is a common pathological process in various kidney diseases, often initiated by factors such as toxins, ischemia, or autoimmune reactions. This inflammatory response can result in structural damage and a rapid decline in renal function.

Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors Induce Intestinal Epithelial Injury and a Senescence‐Like Phenotype

open access: yesiNew Medicine, EarlyView.
ICI treatment promotes the infiltration of activated immune cells into the intestinal mucosa. This inflammatory microenvironment is associated with significant epithelial injury, characterized by the disruption of the epithelial barrier, the depletion of specialized secretory cell lineages, and the induction of a premature senescence phenotype ...

Integrated one‐pot CRISPR‐Cas detection: Addressing strategies and future prospects

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Integrated one‐pot CRISPR‐Cas detection significantly simplifies workflows, reduces cross‐contamination risks, and shortens turnaround times, making it highly suitable for point‐of‐care testing (POCT) and resource‐limited settings. Key challenges include system compatibility issues between Cas proteins and isothermal amplification, limited multiplexing
