Bioorthogonal Fluorogenic Reporters for Noninvasive Imaging and Urinalysis of Immunotherapeutic Response in Renal Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reported renal‐clearable bio‐orthogonal near‐infrared fluorogenic probes (BGRs) that specifically imaging and urinalysis of granzyme B for dynamic evaluation of RCC immunotherapy. BGRs not only differentiate immunotherapeutic responses in orthotopic RCC mice, but also enable sensitive optical urinalysis of granzyme B in clinical specimens ...

Kinetics of Hepatitis B Surface Antigen Level in Chronic Hepatitis B Patients who Achieved Hepatitis B Surface Antigen Loss during Pegylated Interferon Alpha-2a Treatment

open access: yesChinese Medical Journal, 2017
Background: Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) loss/seroconversion is considered to be the ideal endpoint of antiviral therapy and the ultimate treatment goal in chronic hepatitis B (CHB). This study aimed to assess the patterns of HBsAg kinetics in CHB

Engineering Microbial Particles for Next‐Generation Biomedical Platforms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microbe‐derived particles (MDPs), which include extracellular vesicles, outer membrane vesicles, inclusion bodies, polysaccharide particles, and virus‐like particles, represent a rapidly expanding category of bioinspired nanomaterials. With their natural origin, intrinsic biocompatibility, and highly programmable functionality, MDPs serve as a ...

Evolution of hepatitis B serological markers in HIV coinfected patients: a case study

open access: yesRevista de Saúde Pública
OBJECTIVE To describe the evolution of serological markers among HIV and hepatitis B coinfected patients, with emphasis on evaluating the reactivation or seroreversion of these markers. METHODS The study population consisted of patients met in an AIDS

Glycopeptide Composition of Hepatitis B Surface Antigen

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 1980
Three major polypeptides of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), with mol. wt. 22,000 (p22), 27,000 (p27) and 68,000 (p68), were separated by preparative SDS-PAGE. These three peptides as well as intact HBsAg were found to have almost identical amino acid compositions and carbohydrate was detected in p27 and p68 by PAS staining. Papain treatment of p68

Master Regulator SMC1A, Stabilized by N6‐Methyladenosine Reader IGF2BP1, Promotes HCC Progression Through Facilitating Enhancer–Promoter Interaction of Nestin

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
IGF2BP1‐mediated m6A stabilization sustains SMC1A expression, enabling cohesin‐associated chromatin regulation of Nestin in hepatocellular carcinoma. This work reveals an epitranscriptomic‐chromatin‐cytoskeletal regulatory axis linked to malignant phenotypes and identifies SMC1A as a biologically relevant vulnerability in HCC.

Hepatitis B surface antigen in hepatocellular carcinoma.

open access: yesJapanese journal of cancer research : Gann, 1985
Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBs-Ag) was detected histologically (by victoria blue-nuclear fast red staining) in the liver in 20-40% of liver cirrhosis and/or hepatocellular carcinoma (hepatoma) cases. In hepatoma cases, HBs-Ag was usually found in non-cancerous areas of the liver.

IKKβ and USP28 Regulate HEY1 Stability to Promote Cancer Stemness and Immune Evasion in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The uncovered IKKβ‐USP28‐HEY1 axis fuels cancer stemness and immune evasion in hepatocellular carcinoma. USP28 deubiquitinates HEY1 upon IKKβ‐mediated phosphorylation, conferring PD‐1/PD‐L1 blockade resistance. Pharmacological inhibition of USP28 sensitizes resistant tumors to anti‐PD‐1 immunotherapy, revealing a promising therapeutic strategy ...

Baseline hepatitis B surface antigen quantitation can predict virologic response in entecavir-treated chronic hepatitis B patients

open access: yesJournal of the Formosan Medical Association, 2014
Several anti-viral drugs are approved for the treatment of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. However, whether quantitative hepatitis B surface antigen (qHBsAg) can predict the therapeutic response during long-term entecavir treatment remains unclear ...
