Elastography in Hepatology [PDF]
A common characteristic of all chronic liver diseases is the occurrence and progression of fibrosis toward cirrhosis. Consequently, liver fibrosis assessment plays an important role in hepatology. Besides its importance for prognosis, determining the level of fibrosis reveals the natural history of the disease and the risk factors associated with its ...

Tunable Synthetic Hydrogel Modulates Hepatic Lineage Specification of Human Liver Organoid
In this study, a synthetic hydrogel is reported that supports the formation of hiPSC‐derived human liver organoids (HLOs). Hepatic lineage specification can be modulated via conjugation of RGD peptide to hydrogel: RGD‐conjugated hydrogels promote cholangiocyte differentiation, whereas RGD‐free hydrogels favor hepatocyte commitment of HLO cells.

This study identifies microRNA‐10a (miR‐10a) as a key brake on regulatory T cell (Treg) suppressive function and intestinal repair. By targeting Blimp‐1, Uqcrq, and amphiregulin, miR‐10a restrains transcriptional, metabolic, and epithelial programs essential for Treg activity.
