Assessment of the Incidence of Vibrio spp. in Shrimp Farms Relative to Water Parameters and Their Molecular Detection in the Southwest Coastal Region of Bangladesh

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 15, Issue 2, April 2026.
There was no significant relation between the incidence of Vibrio spp. and water parameters, except ammonium in the winter season. In this study, 48.02% (85/177) isolates were positive for Vibrio cholerae, 51.97% (92/177) for Vibrio parahaemolyticus, 15.21% (14/92) for trh gene, and 6.52% (6/92) for tdh gene.

Comparative analysis of morphology, growth performance and gonadal development between the hybrid crab (Scylla serrata ♀ × S. paramamosian ♂) and S. serrata

open access: yesJournal of the World Aquaculture Society, Volume 57, Issue 2, April 2026.
Abstract Interspecific hybridization, through integrating genetic resources across distinct species, serves as a pivotal strategy for improving yield, stress resistance, and quality in aquacultural species. To evaluate the performance of hybrid crab (Scylla serrata ♀ × S.

Optimal dietary protein level for juvenile Hefang crucian carp (Carassius auratus): Balancing growth performance and hepatic health

open access: yesJournal of the World Aquaculture Society, Volume 57, Issue 2, April 2026.
Abstract A 54‐day feeding trial was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary protein levels on growth performance, digestive capacity, plasma biochemical indexes, and gene expression in Hefang crucian carp (Carassius auratus). Six experimental diets were prepared with protein levels of 21.7%, 24.0%, 29.4%, 34.0%, 38.0%, and 43.2%, respectively ...

Proteomic Analysis of the Hepatopancreas of Chinese Mitten Crabs (Eriocheir sinensis) Fed With a Linoleic Acid or α-Linolenic Acid Diet

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2018
As representatives of n-6 and n-3 fatty acids, many studies have analyzed the use of soybean oil and linseed oil rich in linoleic acid (18:2n-6, LA) and α-linolenic acid (18:3n-3, LNA) as better substitutes for fish oil.
