Oxidative Stress and First-Line Antituberculosis Drug-Induced Hepatotoxicity

open access: yesAntimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, 2018
Hepatotoxicity induced by antituberculosis drugs is a serious adverse reaction with significant morbidity and even, rarely, mortality. This form of toxicity potentially impacts the treatment outcome of tuberculosis in some patients.

Transcriptomics Guided Engineering of Exosome‐Encapsulated Bifunctional Nanosheets Targeting the Immune‐PI3K/Akt Axis for Osteoporosis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional nanosheet–exosome hybrid system incorporating f‐CA(OH) nanosheets enriched with abundant surface vacancies are developed. These nanosheets fuse with natural exosomes, endowing them with nanozyme‐like catalytic capabilities while retaining their inherent biological functions.

Mechanisms of acetaminophen hepatotoxicity and their translation to the human pathophysiology

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Translational Research, 2017
Acetaminophen (APAP) overdose is the most common cause of acute liver failure in the United States and mechanisms of liver injury induced by APAP overdose have been the focus of extensive investigation.

Parabiosis, Assembloids, Organoids (PAO)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review evaluates parabiosis, organoids, and assembloids as complementary disease models spanning systemic, organ, and multi‐organ levels. It highlights their construction strategies, applications, and current limitations, while emphasizing their integration with frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence, organ‐on‐a‐chip, CRISPR, and ...

Synovium‐On‐A‐Chip: Simulating the Microenvironment of the Rheumatoid Arthritis Synovium via Multicell Interactions to Target Fibroblast‐Like Synoviocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The synovium‐on‐a‐chip (SOC) model establishes a 3D flow‐based co‐culture of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) fibroblast‐like synoviocytes (FLSs) with M1 macrophages and endothelial cells on a microfluidic chip. This model better recapitulates the inflammatory microenvironment of RA synovium and the invasive/proliferative properties of RA FLSs in vivo ...

Self‐Assembled Dictamni Cortex Nanoparticles Ameliorate Psoriasis by Epigenetic Modulation of HSP90AB1 and Suppression of the Inflammatory Response

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops self‐assembled Dictamni Cortex (BXP)‐Fe(III) infinite coordination polymer nanoparticles (NB) to improve BXP's solubility and bioavailability for psoriasis. NB transdermally treats psoriasis by targeting the epigenetic regulator CTCF (CCCTC‐binding factor), suppressing HSP90AB1 (heat shock protein 90 alpha family class B member 1 ...
