Phylogenetic Comparison between Italian and Worldwide Hericium Species (Agaricomycetes) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A broad literature concerns the genus Hericium, mainly regarding the medicinal properties of H. erinaceus. Congeneric species of H. erinaceus have been poorly investigated. We collected basidiomata of H. alpestre, H. coralloides and H. erinaceus in Italy

[Submerged cultivation and chemical composition of Hericium erinaceus mycelium].

open access: yesAntibiotiki i khimioterapiia = Antibiotics and chemoterapy [sic], 2013
Submerged cultivation of Hericium erinaceus in various media was studied. The yield of the biomass was shown to depend mainly on the carbon source, whereas the content of water soluble polysaccharides depended mainly on the nitrogen source. The optimal medium composition provided the biomass yield of 21-23 g/l in 7 days.
