Movement Disorders in Aicardi–Goutières Syndrome and Response to Immunomodulation
ABSTRACT This study characterizes movement disorders and treatment responses in seven children with Aicardi–Goutières syndrome (AGS). We retrospectively evaluated motor phenotypes, neuroimaging, and interferon signatures in patients treated with baricitinib or anifrolumab. Spasticity affected all patients, while dystonia was present in 4/7.

Glass eels and viruses – a lesson learnt from stocking the eastern German Baltic Sea coast
Abstract Concerns about Anguillid herpesvirus 1 (AngHV‐1) in European eels, especially due to stocking measures, is increasingly coming into focus and raises questions regarding disease monitoring and prevention. In the past, stocking of AngHV‐1‐positive eels into waters assumed AngHV‐1‐free has led to a rapid increase of infected eels in the wild. For

Equine herpesvirus 1 and 4 infections: An update [PDF]
Equine herpesvirus 1 (EHV1) and equine herpesvirus 4 (EHV4) are important ubiquitous equine viral pathogens, causing much damage to the horse industry. EHV1 strains are associated with respiratory disease, abortion, and paresis/paralysis, whereas EHV4 strains are predominantly associated with respiratory disease.

T Cell Exhaustion in Cancer Immunotherapy: Heterogeneity, Mechanisms, and Therapeutic Opportunities
T cell exhaustion limits immunotherapy efficacy. This article delineates its progression from stem‐like to terminally exhausted states, governed by persistent antigen, transcription factors, epigenetics, and metabolism. It maps the exhaustion landscape in the TME and proposes integrated reversal strategies, providing a translational roadmap to overcome

A heparan-dependent herpesvirus targets the olfactory neuroepithelium for host entry.
Herpesviruses are ubiquitous pathogens that cause much disease. The difficulty of clearing their established infections makes host entry an important target for control.

Machine‐Learning Microfluidic Minute‐Scale Microorganism Metrics Monitoring(M6)
ABSTRACT On‐site monitoring of microorganisms remains challenging because of low concentrations, strong background interference, and dynamic aerosol diffusion, particularly for aerosol‐transmitted pathogens. Here, we report a rapid detection platform that integrates a Puri‐focusing microfluidic chip, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and ...

Studies on the molecular biological peculiarities of bovine herpesvirus 4
Studies on the molecular biological features of bovine herpesvirus 4 (BHV 4) strains isolated in Bul-garia have been conducted. Two types of polymerase chain reaction have been developed and applied to confirm the gB and TK genes.
