Heterocycle-functionalized luminogens exhibiting aggregation-induced emission

open access: yes, 2015
The development of a series of fluorescent materials including heterocycle-functionalized luminogens with aggregation-induced/enhanced emission (AIE/AEE), long wavelength emission, and high solid state fluorescence quantum efficiency is contemplated. The

Funktionalisierung von Peptiden auf der festen Phase im späten Synthesestadium

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.

Isolation of a Highly Reactive CBNC Heterocumulene via Azidoborylene Photolysis: Facile Access to a Crystalline Dioxaborirane

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Azidoborylene photolysis results in the isolation of a reactive C═B═N═C heterocumulene bearing an ambiphilic boron centre. Addition of 3O2 to this species results in the clean conversion to a unique example of a dioxaborirane. ABSTRACT Oxidation of the formal boron(0) complex MeCAAC2B in the presence of tetrabutylammonium azide leads to the formation ...

1,7‐Digallatetracarborane: Between Nucleophilic closo‐Cluster and “Inverse Sandwich” Digallylene

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A dianionic π‐ligand is used to make a Janus‐type twofold complex with low‐valent gallium Ga(+I). The resulting compound can be seen as and reveals the reactivity of both: a Wade‐type closo‐carborane cluster with nucleophilic Ga‐sites, as well as π‐ligand stabilized Ga(I) atoms in an inverse sandwich compound.

Nucleophilic activity of a linked bis{guanidine} leading to formation of a dicationic C4N4-heterocycle

open access: yes, 2007
The methylene-linked bis{guanidine}, H2C{hpp}2 (hppH = 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidine), displays nucleophilic activity towards organic halides, including the activation of dichloromethane under ambient conditions to afford the ...

Copper(II/III) Redox Couple Enables C─H Methylation via a Radical Mechanism Analogous to SAM Enzymes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Biological C–H methylation proceeds through radical pathways mediated by one‐electron redox cofactors, yet no synthetic model has reproduced this reactivity. Here, we report the first isolable Cu(II/III)–methyl complexes that mediate C–H methylation through hydrogen atom transfer and methyl radical rebound.

Synthesis and One‐Electron Reduction of Donor‐Acceptor‐Stabilized SiII–EII–SiII Trimetallylenes (E = Ge, Sn, Pb)

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The first isolable trimetallylenes (SiII)2EII (E = Ge, Sn, Pb) with pπ‐type silanylidenyl donors have been synthesized, having donor–acceptor electronic structures that give rise to near‐infrared absorption and enable access to bis(silanylidenyl)‐supported GeI and SnI radical anions upon one‐electron reduction with elemental potassium. ABSTRACT Herein,
