Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to infection, with extremely high mortality. Notably, sepsis is a heterogeneous syndrome characterized by a vast, multidimensional array of clinical and biologic features, which has hindered advances in the therapeutic field beyond the current standards. We used PubMed

Tumor heterogeneity was traditionally considered in the genetic terms, but it has now been broadened into many more facets. These facets represent a challenge in our understanding of cancer etiology but also provide opportunity for us to understand prognosis and therapy response.

In modern sepsis management, long-held concerns about the inexorable rise of antimicrobial resistance have led to a key focus on antibiotic stewardship. Among the many strands that come together to provide a complete picture of stewardship is the issue of how antibiotic classes are deployed.

Heterogeneous catalysts are plentiful in the chemical industry. In this chapter, a short overview will be given on the steps needed to convert a reactant into a product over a heterogeneous catalyst. In addition, an introduction will be given on the way a catalyst assists in the making and breaking of chemical bonds.

There is by now a large literature characterising conditions under which learning schemes converge to rational expectations equilibria (REEs). It has been claimed that these results depend on the assumption of homogeneous agents and homogeneous learning. This paper analyses the stability of REEs under heterogeneous adaptative learning, for the class of

Proven catalysts exist in many different forms and with many different kinds of composition. An understanding of how catalysts function is beginning to emerge in a few areas, and some superior catalysts have been developed as a result of this knowledge. Applications of new techniques and disciplines should lead to impressive advances in the years ahead.

As a matter of facts, interoperating tools and integrating the functional and physical modeling of systems within a unique toolchain is one of the most challenging issues of the Systems Engineering technology as is currently known. Therefore, this topic is analyzed in this chapter, one that the set of analyzes required was performed. Strategies, tools,
