Exceptional lines and higher-order exceptional points enabled by uniform loss
This study theoretically investigates the realization of exceptional points (EPs) in space-time invariant Lorentz dispersive media with uniform loss, which contrasts sharply with conventional approaches that rely on spatial or temporal differential ...

Applications of novel optical imaging methods in the study of marine mollusks: A review
Optical imaging has been pivotal in biological research (e.g., cellular/developmental biology) for over two centuries. Recent advances like super-resolution fluorescence and nonlinear optical microscopy enable nanoscale studies of live cells and animals,

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Optical Nanotweezers Based on All-Dielectric Resonant Structures
Optical tweezers are a valuable tool for manipulating micro- and nano-objects due to their noncontact and nondestructive nature. These features render them highly valuable for applications such as biological detection and precision measurement.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.
