CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

SPARQL Query Rewriting for Implementing Data Integration over Linked Data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
There has been lately an increased activity of publishing structured data in RDF due to the activity of the Linked Data community. The presence on the Web of such a huge information cloud, ranging from academic to geographic to gene related information ...

Quantum lock-in measurement of weak alternating signals

open access: yesQuantum Frontiers
The detection of weak time-dependent alternating signals in a strongly noisy background is an important problem in physics and a critical task in metrology. Quantum lock-in amplifier can extract alternating signals within extreme noises by using suitable

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Bandwidth Enhancement of H-Plane MIMO Patch Antennas in Integrated Sensing and Communication Applications

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation
In this paper, a low-cost compact decoupled bandwidth enhancement technique is proposed to address the high mutual coupling issue between wideband closely-spaced multiple-input and multiple-out (MIMO) patch antennas.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

A Service Late Binding Enabled Solution for Data Integration from Autonomous and Evolving Databases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Integrating data from autonomous, distributed and heterogeneous data sources to provide a unified vision is a common demand for many businesses. Since the data sources may evolve frequently to satisfy their own independent business needs, solutions which

Annotation of SBML Models Through Rule-Based Semantic Integration

open access: yes, 2009
*Motivation:* The creation of accurate quantitative Systems Biology Markup Language (SBML) models is a time-intensive, manual process often complicated by the many data sources and formats required to annotate even a small and well-scoped model. Ideally,

On-Chip DNA Assembly via Dielectrophoresis

open access: yesMicromachines
On-chip gene synthesis has the potential to improve the synthesis throughput and reduce the cost exponentially. While there exist several microarray-based oligo synthesis technologies, on-chip gene assembly has yet to be demonstrated.
