Interactions of phenolic compounds 4-hexylresorcinol and 3,4-dimethylphenol with esters were studied using hexane-ester cosolvent systems by both phase solubility and partitioning methods. The data obtained by the phase solubility method were variable and could not be analyzed by any mathematical model.

Enzymatic oxidation of hexanal by oat
Journal of Cereal Science, 2003The fate of hexanal added to flours of five different grain varieties was studied. All the flours appeared to be capable in decreasing hexanal concentration, but the abilities of oat flours were clearly the best. Depending on the oat flour used, the rate of hexanal decrease was 2.45-2.73 μg hexanal min-1 g- 1 flour when 100 μg of hexanal was added to 1

Polyneuropathy Due to n-Hexane
Archives of Internal Medicine, 1976In 25 years, at least eight of 50 total exposed employees in a small plant developed a mild neuropathy. Studies of urine or blood for lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium, thallium, and antimony revealed no sign of toxic agents, but the atmosphere in one room contained toxic levels of n-hexane. The sourse was the glue used in the plant. Serum cholinesterase

Positronium-oxygen interaction in hexane
Il Nuovo Cimento D, 1982The role played by the O2 molecule in the decay of Ps in air-saturated hexane was investigated by measurements of lifetime and by an experiment of magnetic quenching. The results indicate that a) O2 reduces the overlap probability |φ(O)|2 of the interacting positron-electron pair in Ps by a factor 1.6, b) Ps may react with the O2 molecule forming a ...

Effect of Microbial strains on Hexanal
2022The positive effects of plant-based protein consumption have been reported, nonetheless, several disadvantages suchgrassy or beany off-flavors are encountered (1) and are limiting the consumers acceptance towards these proteins. In this project, we investigated the potential of selected microorganisms to metabolize compounds responsible forthe ...
