Repurpose an FDA‐Approved Antibody Using DARPin‐Scaffolded Bridge Protein

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2026.
The cell line and scalable upstream/downstream process development needed for every new monoclonal antibody are both highly expensive and time‐consuming, significantly increasing the cost of new antibody therapeutics. By contrast, the production of many synthetic binders can be accomplished rapidly and with lower production costs.

Integrating oncolytic adenoviruses into combination cancer therapy: Mechanisms, advances and clinical outlook

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 5, May 2026.
Oncolytic adenoviruses synergise with chemotherapy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy to enhance anti‐tumour efficacy. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy increase tumour susceptibility and antigen release through DNA damage, while immunotherapy restores T‐cell activity.

HAdV-3 genome and hexon gene hypervariable regions.

open access: yes, 2018
The HAdV-3 GB strain genome is 35345 bp long (GenBank ID: AY599834). The hexon protein is a 945–amino acid (AA) polypeptide encoded by 2835 nucleotides that extends from 18,420 to 21,254 bp in the HAdV-3 genome.

Systems approach to design multi-epitopic peptide vaccine candidate against fowl adenovirus structural proteins for Gallus gallus domesticus

open access: yesFrontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology
IntroductionFowl adenovirus (FAdV) is a significant pathogen in poultry, causing various diseases such as hepatitis-hydropericardium, inclusion body hepatitis, and gizzard erosion.

Insights into Adenovirus Uncoating from Interactions with Integrins and Mediators of Host Immunity

open access: yesViruses, 2016
Human adenoviruses are large (150 MDa) nonenveloped double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) viruses that cause acute respiratory, gastrointestinal and ocular infections.

Molecular characterization of aviadenovirus serotypes and pathogenicity of the identified adenovirus in broiler chickens

open access: yesPoultry Science, 2022
: Inclusion body hepatitis (IBH) is an economically significant viral disease that primarily affects broiler chickens. At least 12 different aviadenovirus serotypes are responsible for causing IBH.

Oncolytic Therapy: Delivery System and New Therapeutic Strategies for Cancer

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 4, April 2026.
This review summarizes recent advances in nanoparticle‐ and cell‐mediated OVs delivery strategies that improve biodistribution and tumor targeting while limiting immune clearance. It also examines combination approaches that enhance therapeutic efficacy through tumor microenvironment modulation or immune activation, thereby overcoming immunosuppression

Evidence of molecular evolution driven by recombination events influencing tropism in a novel human adenovirus that causes epidemic keratoconjunctivitis. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2009
In 2005, a human adenovirus strain (formerly known as HAdV-D22/H8 but renamed here HAdV-D53) was isolated from an outbreak of epidemic keratoconjunctititis (EKC), a disease that is usually caused by HAdV-D8, -D19, or -D37, not HAdV-D22.
