A high frequency harmonic VCO with an artificial varactor
1998 IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems. Surfing the Waves of Science and Technology (Cat. No.98EX196), 2002A tunable LC-oscillator utilising an artificial varactor is presented in this paper. The proposed variable capacitor is based on the well-known Miller effect. A theoretical model is developed to study the capacitance tuning range and the corresponding Q-value.

Origin of second harmonic component from high frequency ultrasound
2000 IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium. Proceedings. An International Symposium (Cat. No.00CH37121), 2002A series of field experiments has been conducted in order to characterize the ultrasonic field produced by a high frequency PVDF transducer. Field measurements using a small spot size hydrophone shows a linear amplitude increase of the second harmonic pressure from a planar transducer due to nonlinear propagation of acoustic waves in water.

Study of high frequency harmonics propagation in industrial networks
International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility - EMC EUROPE, 2012This paper investigates the harmonic contents of an industrial network in the 2kHz–150kHz range. Measurement methods to characterize the ElectroMagnetic Interferences in this frequency range are proposed, using voltage or current. The harmonic propagation in the power networks is studied and discussed.

Harmonic wavelet approximation of random, fractal and high frequency signals
Telecommunication Systems, 2009The analysis of a periodic signal with localized random (or high frequency) noise is given by using harmonic wavelets. Since they are orthogonal to the Fourier basis, by defining a projection wavelet operator the signal is automatically decomposed into the localized pulse and the periodic function.

Analysis of high frequency partials in Bayesian harmonic model
2008 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing, 2008Bayesian harmonic modeling and parameters estimation is a new approach in audio signal synthesizing. However current Bayesian harmonic modeling canpsilat effectively extract high frequency partials. In this paper we propose an improved model with parameters of high frequency partials for audio signal with harmonic modeling.

Effect of leakage inductance on high frequency transformer harmonics
2009 Compatability and Power Electronics, 2009Nowadays, switching power supplies are used in almost all electronic devices to regulate the voltage amplitude. The only obstacle on using these devices is the production of high frequency harmonics that violates different standards such as (FCC, VDE, 461). In this paper the sources of various noises in switching power supplies will be introduced. Then,

High-Frequency Harmonic Effects on Low-Frequency Iron Losses
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2014The study of iron losses in electrical machines represents a major interest in academic and industrial environment, especially in case of systems with high-frequency (HF) harmonic content in the supply voltage. In this context, this paper presents an analysis concerning the impact of HF injection on low-frequency (LF) iron losses.

High-frequency harmonics and source level of humpback whale songs
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2001The songs of 8 male humpback whales were recorded at ranges varying from 20 to 40 m with a calibrated system that had a flat frequency response to 22 kHz. The songs consisted of bursts of sounds called units. Units were organized into phrases and phrases into themes.

P3P-2 Dual Element Transducers for High Frequency Harmonic Imaging
2006 IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium, 2006Concentric annular type dual element transducers for second harmonic imaging at 20 MHz / 40 MHz were designed and fabricated to improve spatial resolution with sufficient penetration for ophthalmic imaging applications. The outer ring element was designed to transmit the 20 MHz signal and the inner element was designed to receive the 40 MHz second ...
