Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Observation of Dynamic Processes on Cutting Zone when Machining Nickel Alloys
Process models of super alloys and included finite element modelling simulations are important for optimizing the metal cutting process, allowing industry to make parts faster, better, and at less cost.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

High‐Speed Hyperspectral Imaging for Near Infrared Fluorescence and Environmental Monitoring
Hyperspectral imaging captures both spectral and spatial information from a sample but is intrinsically slow. The near infrared (NIR, > 800 nm) is advantageous for imaging applications because it falls into the tissue transparency window and also ...

Influence of Magnesium on Spatter Behavior in Laser Deep Penetration Welding of Aluminum Alloys
The quality of welds, as well as the necessity of post-processing, is challenged by spatter generation during the laser keyhole welding process. In this study, the influence of the magnesium content on spatter behavior is studied for three aluminum ...

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

High-speed imaging of high pressures produced by cavitation bubbles
Cavitation bubbles, when correctly tuned, may provide interesting mechanical and chemical effects to their surroundings owing to their violent collapse.

Probing the nanoscale with high-speed interferometry of an impacting drop
The simple phenomenon of a water drop falling onto a glass plate may seem like a trivial fluid mechanics problem. However, detailed imaging has shown that this process is highly complex and a small air-bubble is always entrapped under the drop when it ...
