The Expression and Prognostic Value of Cancer Stem Cell Markers, NRF2, and Its Target Genes in TAE/TACE-Treated Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesMedicina, 2022
Background and Objectives: Activation of NRF2, a key transcription factor of cytoprotectant against oxidative stress, and its target genes are associated with aggressive tumor progression, metastasis and poor survival.

Convolutional Neural Network of Atomic Surface structures to Predict Binding Energies For High-throughput Screening of Catalysts.

open access: yesJournal of Physical Chemistry Letters, 2019
High-throughput screening of catalysts can be performed using density functional theory calculations to predict catalytic properties, often correlated with adsorbate binding energies. However, more complete investigations would require an order of 2 more

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Effects of novel microecologics combined with traditional Chinese medicine and probiotics on growth performance and health of broilers

open access: yesPoultry Science, 2022
: In this study, we prepared a kind of novel microecologics, namely Chinese medicine–probiotic compound microecological preparation (CPCMP), which is composed of 5 traditional Chinese medicine herbs (Galla Chinensis, Andrographis paniculata, Arctii ...

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

High-throughput in vivo vertebrate screening [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We demonstrate a high-throughput platform for cellular-resolution in vivo chemical and genetic screens on zebrafish larvae. The system automatically loads zebrafish from reservoirs or multiwell plates, and positions and rotates them for high-speed ...

A new vulnerability to BET inhibition due to enhanced autophagy in BRCA2 deficient pancreatic cancer

open access: yesCell Death and Disease, 2023
Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest diseases in human malignancies. Among total pancreatic cancer patients, ~10% of patients are categorized as familial pancreatic cancer (FPC) patients, carrying germline mutations of the genes involved in DNA ...

High-Throughput Screening Enhances Kidney Organoid Differentiation from Human Pluripotent Stem Cells and Enables Automated Multidimensional Phenotyping.

open access: yesCell Stem Cell, 2018
Organoids derived from human pluripotent stem cells are a potentially powerful tool for high-throughput screening (HTS), but the complexity of organoid cultures poses a significant challenge for miniaturization and automation.
