Multimodal Locomotion in Insect‐Inspired Microrobots: A Review of Strategies for Aerial, Surface, Aquatic, and Interfacial Motion

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This review identifies key design considerations for insect‐inspired microrobots capable of multimodal locomotion. To draw inspiration, biological and robotic strategies for moving in air, on water surfaces, and underwater are examined, along with approaches for crossing the air–water interface.

Conditioned Reflex Reactions in High-Impulsivity Rats Are Weaker than Those in Low-Impulsivity Animals

Neuroscience and Behavioral Physiology, 2020
The delay discounting procedure was used to classify rats into high-impulsivity (preferring low-value immediate food reinforcement) and low-impulsivity (choosing a high-value reinforcement with a 5-sec delay), as well as ambivalent animals, which did not display any preference for reinforcement choice.

A high efficiency conditioning method of vacuum interrupters by high frequency voltage impulses

2012 25th International Symposium on Discharges and Electrical Insulation in Vacuum (ISDEIV), 2012
It is well-known that the high-voltage withstand ability of vacuum interrupters (VIs) can be increased by conditioning processes. Several conventional conditioning methods, such as spark conditioning and current conditioning, are used by most vacuum interrupter manufacturers.

Effects of Moisture Contents in Soil and Impulse Polarity of Earth Electrode Under High Impulse Conditions

2006 IEEE 8th International Conference on Properties and applications of Dielectric Materials, 2006
The study on the physics of discharges in soil and performance of earthing networks subjected and obtain better electrical models of earthing systems. In this study, the characteristics of medium grain size sand of different moisture contents and impulse polarity are investigated. The soil characteristics of various moisture contents under high impulse
