In this paper, the high-temperature constitutive behaviour of an additively manufactured ductile nickel-based superalloy is investigated and modelled, with application to thermomechanical fatigue, low-cycle fatigue and creep conditions at temperatures up

This report was prepared as the keynote address given at the 1972 Symposium on Fatigue at Elevated Temperatures at the University of Connecticut, 18–23 June, 1972. It describes the high-temperature fatigue problem as a failure process in a notch in some structure involving nucleation and early growth at the notch root, high-strain crack propagation ...

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Thermo-mechanical simulation of sintered Ag die attach for high temperature applications
S.288-294Diverse electronic packages operate under exceptionally harsh environments, which require extended lifetimes, presenting a significant challenge for the microelectronics community. Operating temperatures above 200oC together with high pressures,

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...
