An investigation of delay fault testing for multi voltage design

open access: yes, 2009
Multi Voltage Design (MVD) has been successfully applied in contemporary processors as a technique to reduce energy consumption. This work is aimed at finding a generalised delay testing method for MVD.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Analysis and design of SOI MEMS step up voltage converters

open access: yes, 2013
Energy harvesting systems are becoming an increasingly popular area for research as they present themselves as a clean, renewable source of energy. There are currently some key design issues facing the development of these energy harvesting systems.

Method to discard partial discharge pulses from neighboring high voltage equipment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
On-line partial discharge (PD) diagnostics data are corrupted by various noise sources and this makes it more challenging to extract the PD signal contained in the raw data. Though the noise sources can be filtered out using signal processing techniques,

Performance of high voltage protective air gaps in desert environment

open access: yes, 1997
Rod-rod and multiple rod gaps are used for overvoltage protection of various power system apparatus. These are mostly located outdoors and are subjected to dust and sand particulate contamination in desert lands.

Modeling and Simulation on the Hybrid Solution of Static Var Generator and Synchronous Condenser for Unlocking Power Output Limitation of Wind Farms Integrated into Weak Grid

open access: yesEnergies
The issues of low inertia, overvoltage, and wide-frequency oscillations in high-proportion renewable energy systems have become prominent, posing major challenges to renewable energy integration and threatening grid stability.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

High-Voltage-Efficiency Inorganic Perovskite Solar Cells in a Wide Solution-Processing Window

open access: yes, 2018
Inorganic halide perovskites exhibit significant photovoltaic performance due to their structural stability and high open-circuit voltage (Voc). Herein, a general strategy of solution engineering has been implemented to enable a wide solution-processing ...
