Higher-order parabolic equations without conditions at infinity
This paper is devoted to the following Cauchy problem: \[ \begin{cases} \rho\frac {\partial u}{\partial t}=\sum^m_{k=0}(-1)^{k+1} \frac {\partial^k}{\partial x^k} \left(a_k\frac {\partial^ku}{\partial x^k} \right)- c_0| u|^{p-1}u\quad &\text{in }S=\mathbb{R}\times(0,T)\\ u=u_0\quad &\text{in }\mathbb{R}\times \{0\},\end{cases}\tag{1} \] where \(p>1\), \

Higher order conditioning of a taste aversion [PDF]
Two groups of rats each received 5 drops of NaCl solution from a dropper placed directly inside the mouth. The experimental group was then injected with lithium chloride to establish a conditioned taste aversion. The control group was injected 24 h later. After a recovery day the above procedures were repeated.

Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

A logic with higher order conditional probabilities [PDF]
We investigate probability logic with the conditional probability operators This logic, denoted LCP, allows making statements such as: P?s?, CP?s(? | ?) CP?0(? | ?) with the intended meaning "the probability of ? is at least s" "the conditional probability of ? given ? is at least s", "the conditional probability of ? given ? at most 0".

Higher-order conditioning: A critical review and computational model.
Higher-order conditioning results from a simple training procedure: Pairing two relatively neutral conditioned stimuli, A and X, allows properties separately conditioned to X (e.g., through pairing it with an unconditioned stimulus, US) to be evident during A.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...
