Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Hierarchical tapered bar elements undergoing axial deformation [PDF]
A method is described to model the dynamics of tapered axial bars of various cross sections based on the well-known Craig/Bampton component mode synthesis technique.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Numerical integration on GPUs for higher order finite elements
The paper considers the problem of implementation on graphics processors of numerical integration routines for higher order finite element approximations. The design of suitable GPU kernels is investigated in the context of general purpose integration procedures, as well as particular example applications.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Separation of Plastic Particles in Electrostatic Field Produced by Electrodes of Optimized Shape
Shape optimization of electrodes for the device for electrostatic separation of triboelectrically charged plastic particles is carried out. The objective function maximizes the efficiency of separation consisting in the highest possible number of ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Dynamics of flight of the fragments with higher order Haar wavelet method [PDF]
Fragments that have an irregular shape and move at high speeds are difficult to assess since experiments require high-tech solutions, and the differential equations that describe the motion cannot be solved analytically.
