We present automated next-to-leading order QCD and/or electroweak (EW) predictions for photon-photon processes in ultraperipheral high-energy collisions of protons and ions, extending the capabilities of the MadGraph5_aMC@NLO framework together in ...

N3LO+N3LL QCD improved Higgs pair cross sections
We report a new calculation of the soft-gluon threshold resummation for the Higgs boson pair production in the dominant production mode — gluon-gluon fusion — up to the next-to-next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic (N3LL) accuracy.

Towards gauge theories in four dimensions [PDF]
The abundance of infrared singularities in gauge theories due to unresolved emission of massless particles (soft and collinear) represents the main difficulty in perturbative calculations. They are typically regularized in dimensional regularization, and

Next-to-next-to-leading-order QCD corrections to J/ψ plus η c production at the B factories
In this paper, we calculate the next-to-next-to-leading-order (NNLO) QCD corrections to e + e − → J/ψ + η c at the B factories. After including the NNLO corrections, the cross section of e + e − → J/ψ +η c is enhanced by about 17%, and the perturbative ...

Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.

Heavy quark fragmentation in e + e − collisions to NNLO+NNLL accuracy in perturbative QCD
Fragmentation of heavy quarks into heavy-flavoured hadrons receives both perturbative and non-perturbative contributions. We consider perturbative QCD corrections to heavy quark production in e + e − collisions to next-to-next-to-leading order accuracy ...

Estimation of uncertainties from missing higher orders in perturbative calculations
In this proceeding we present the results of our recent study (hep-ph/1409.5036) of the statistical performances of two different approaches, Scale Variation (SV) and the Bayesian model of Cacciari and Houdeau (CH)(hep-ph/1105.5152) (which we also extend to observables with initial state hadrons), to the estimation of Missing Higher-Order Uncertainties

The transition temperature of the dilute interacting Bose gas for $N$ internal degrees of freedom
We calculate explicitly the variation $\delta T_c$ of the Bose-Einstein condensation temperature $T_c$ induced by weak repulsive two-body interactions to leading order in the interaction strength.

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.
