Prospective memory functioning among ecstasy/polydrug users: evidence from the Cambridge Prospective Memory Test (CAMPROMPT) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Rationale: Prospective memory (PM) deficits in recreational drug users have been documented in recent years. However, the assessment of PM has largely been restricted to self-reported measures that fail to capture the distinction between event-based and

Neuroprotective Effect of Cannabidiol Against Rotenone in Hippocampal Neuron Culture

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, EarlyView.
(–)‐Cannabidiol (CBD) protects primary hippocampal neurons from rotenone, a mitochondrial complex I inhibitor that causes cell death. CBD preserves neuronal viability and morphology, with antagonist assays showing that transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) mediates this neuroprotective effect.

Delivery strategies of messenger RNA therapeutics for brain disorders

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, EarlyView.
Thus, mRNA therapeutics offer a powerful new avenue for the treatment of brain diseases. This review examines strategies to bypass biological barriers, particularly the blood–brain barrier, and explores emerging delivery systems, such as direct intracerebral injection, intracerebroventricular injection, systemic delivery (including intravenous ...

A Core Head, Neck, and Neuroanatomy Syllabus for Physical Therapy Student Education

open access: yesClinical Anatomy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Head, neck, and neuroanatomy are essential components of physical therapy education due to their broad clinical applications. Detailed syllabi exist for medical students, yet none have been developed for physical therapy. This study aimed to produce an International Federation of Associations of Anatomists core head, neck, and neuroanatomy ...
