Streamline-Based History Matching: A Review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In recent years, several methods for streamline-based history matching have been developed. These methods have proved to be efficient for three reasons: First, streamlines delineate flow patterns and can therefore be used to define reduced inverse models.

Prior Aperture Realizations From Far‐Field Stress Approximation for Ensemble‐Based Data Assimilation in Naturally Fractured Reservoirs

open access: yesWater Resources Research
Fractures are ubiquitous in reservoirs used for geothermal heat extraction, CO2 storage, and other subsurface applications. Their significant impact on flow and transport requires accurate characterization for performance estimation and risk assessment ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

ESR1 methylation and ESR1 mutations in circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and paired plasma‐cfDNA of advanced breast cancer patients: A feasibility proof‐of‐concept study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) were analyzed to detect ESR1 mutations and methylation in patients with advanced breast cancer. CTC‐derived DNA showed higher sensitivity for mutation detection and revealed complementary genetic and epigenetic alterations, highlighting the added value of CTC analysis for understanding ...

The history of matches

open access: yes, 2014
A match is a tool for starting a fire. Typically, modern matches are made of small wooden sticks or stiff paper. They had made a long way before they became what they are today. When you are citing the document, use the following link http://essuir.sumdu.edu.ua/handle/123456789 ...
