Seismic history matching using proxy models [PDF]
Generally, reservoir simulation is used to predict field performance and analyse uncertainties for assistance in decision making, while history matching is a key step in reservoir simulation, which is a process of model adjustment and simulation runs ...

Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

History matching by interacting MCMC
The history matching problem in reservoir engineering, which consists in matching the geostatistical model to production data, is an ill-posed inverse problem.

An Ensemble Smoother for assisted History Matching
This paper compares two ensemble-based data-assimilation methods when solving the history-matching problem in reservoir-simulation models. The methods are the Ensemble Kalman Filter (EnKF) and the Ensemble Smoother (ES).

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

Technology Focus: History Matching and Forecasting (April 2017)
Technology Focus The initial work on computer techniques for assisted history matching date back to the 1960s. However, it was a long journey between the development of early methods and operational use.
