Serum Soluble HLA-DR Antigens in Autoimmune Hepatitis

To investigate the significance of HLA-class II, especially DR antigens, in autoimmune hepatitis (AIH), the serum concentrations of soluble HLA-DR antigen (sDR) were measured in 16 patients with AIH. The expression of HLA-DR antigens in the liver tissues of AIH patients was also studied by immunohistochemistry.
