Mapping the immunopeptidome of seven SARS-CoV-2 antigens across common HLA haplotypes

open access: yesNature Communications
Most COVID-19 vaccines elicit immunity against the SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein. However, Spike protein mutations in emerging strains and immune evasion by the SARS-CoV-2 virus demonstrates the need to develop more broadly targeting vaccines.

A gyermekkori 1-es típusú diabétesz genetikai és humorális immunológiai hátterének vizsgálata = Genetic and humoral immunologic determinants of childhood-onset type 1 diabetes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Az OTKA pályázat munkatervében kitűzött célok megvalósultak. A program az elmúlt három év alatt országos diabetes genetikai projektté nőtte ki magát (HUN-T1D-GENES program; www.diabet.hu/ diabetesgenetics).

Targeting Amastigote and Trypomastigote Phases: Multi‐Epitope Vaccine Strategy Against Trypanosoma cruzi

open access: yesBiotechnology and Applied Biochemistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Effective vaccines against Trypanosoma cruzi, the causative agent of Chagas disease, are urgently needed. Here, we report the design and in silico validation of a novel multiepitope vaccine construct targeting the key surface proteins ASP‐2 and gp82. Using a comprehensive immunoinformatics pipeline, we identified and selected 38 potent T‐cell (

Efficacy, safety and cost‐effectiveness of CAR‐T therapy

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
CAR T‐cells demonstrate high efficacy in blood cancers, including ALL, MM and DLBCL. Innovations target solid tumours despite challenges such as antigen escape. Combination therapies enhance the delivery and infiltration of CAR T cells. Toxicity, cost and resistance remain major barriers to clinical use.

Risk of venous thromboembolism after SARS‐CoV‐2 vaccination—Evidence from genome‐wide association study and population‐based observational study

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aim We aimed to investigate whether genetic variation is associated with venous thromboembolism after immunization with SARS‐CoV‐2 vaccines. Methods We conducted a genome‐wide association study (GWAS) on cases of venous thromboembolism within 42 days after SARS‐CoV‐2 vaccination, recruited from reports of adverse drug reactions sent to the Swedish ...

Mapping the Landscape of Host-Pathogen Coevolution: HLA Class I Binding and Its Relationship with Evolutionary Conservation in Human and Viral Proteins [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The high diversity of HLA binding preferences has been driven by the sequence diversity of short segments of relevant pathogenic proteins presented by HLA molecules to the immune system.
