A Case Study of Presplitting Blasting Parameters of Hard and Massive Roof Based on the Interaction between Support and Overlying Strata

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
Due to the existence of a hard and massive roof (HMR), severe ground pressure behaviors have been observed at the working face, resulting in safety issues and the degradation of production effectiveness.

Postantibiotic Suppression of Growth of Erythromycin A-Susceptible and -Resistant Gram-Positive Bacteria by the Ketolides Telithromycin (HMR 3647) and HMR 3004 [PDF]

open access: yesAntimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, 2000
ABSTRACT We investigated the in vitro postantibiotic effects (PAEs) of the ketolides telithromycin (HMR 3647) and HMR 3004 and analyzed the results using the sigmoid E max model. Mean maximum telithromycin PAEs against erythromycin A-susceptible strains of Staphylococcus aureus

RAD4 and RAD23/HMR Contribute to Arabidopsis UV Tolerance [PDF]

open access: yesGenes, 2017
In plants, exposure to solar ultraviolet (UV) light is unavoidable, resulting in DNA damage. Damaged DNA causes mutations, replication arrest, and cell death, thus efficient repair of the damaged DNA is essential. A light-independent DNA repair pathway called nucleotide excision repair (NER) is conserved throughout evolution.

Single‐Cell Profiling Identifies SLC2A5‐Mediated Fructose Metabolism as a Vulnerability in Primary CNS Lymphoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glucose deprivation in the primary CNS lymphoma (PCNSL) tumor microenvironment drives SLC2A5 (encoding GLUT5)‐dependent fructose metabolism in tumor cells, while hypoxia induces HIF‐mediated SLC2A5 expression in tumor‐supportive macrophages, revealing SLC2A5‐driven fructose utilization as a shared and targetable metabolic vulnerability across malignant

Long-Range Communication between the Silencers of HMR [PDF]

open access: yesMolecular and Cellular Biology, 2008
Gene regulation involves long-range communication between silencers, enhancers, and promoters. In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, silencers flank transcriptionally repressed genes to mediate regional silencing. Silencers recruit the Sir proteins, which then spread along chromatin to encompass the entire silenced domain.

Molecular Dynamics‐Guided Sterol Engineering of mRNA‐Lipid Nanoparticles Reprograms Biodistribution and Enhances Spleen‐Selective Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sterol engineering enables precise control of mRNA lipid nanoparticles by tuning membrane organization. Replacing cholesterol with bile acid‐derived sterols redirects protein expression from the liver to the spleen. Notably, CA‐20 LNP enhances antigen‐specific immune responses while exhibiting a favorable safety profile, highlighting sterols as a ...

Hydrogen‐Bond Enabled Phosphite Based Intrinsic Flame‐Retardant Solid‐Solid Phase Change Materials Using Catalyst/Solvent‐Free Multi‐Component Reaction for Battery Thermal Management

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The phosphite group endows intrinsic flame retardancy, while the P = O bond enhances intermolecular interactions to realize solid‐solid phase transition. Battery thermal management tests show the materials extend the safe working time of lithium‐ion batteries by 200%. Cone calorimeter tests indicate a 14s delay in ignition time, and reductions of 37.6%,

In Vitro Pharmacodynamic Studies of Activities of Ketolides HMR 3647 (Telithromycin) and HMR 3004 against Extracellular or Intracellular Helicobacter pylori [PDF]

open access: yesAntimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, 2001
ABSTRACT The pharmacodynamic properties of the ketolides HMR 3647 (telithromycin) and HMR 3004 were studied against Helicobacter pylori . Both ketolides showed a pronounced concentration-dependent killing, a significant postantibiotic effect, a long postantibiotic sub-MIC effect, and a reduction of ...

Pesticide MRLs as Trade Barriers: Evidence From Vietnam's Coffee and Rice Exporters

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As tariffs have declined globally through bilateral and regional trade agreements, food safety standards have emerged as significant determinants of agricultural trade flows. This study examines the impact of maximum residue limits (MRLs) for five pesticides—Azoxystrobin, Chlorpyrifos, Chlorantraniliprole, Clothianidin, and Cyhalothrin—on ...
