Optimal holographic Fourier-transform lens

Applied Optics, 1984
A Fourier-transform holographic optical element is described that has low aberrations over an extended range of spatial frequencies. The design is based on a relatively simple analytic solution involving optimization by minimizing the output wave-front deviations.

Design and fabrication of extended eye-box holographic lens using holographic printer

Digital Holography and Three-Dimensional Imaging 2019, 2019
In this paper, we propose a method to design and manufacture a holographic lens that can extend the eye-box in a near eye display. To verify the possibility, we calculated the phase profile of a holographic lens that produces multiple focal points with 5 mm intervals on the focal plane, and recorded it using a holographic wavefront printer.

Holographic magnification system based on cylindrical lens

Optik, 2018
Abstract In this paper, we propose a holographic magnification system based on a cylindrical lens. The cylindrical lens has the function of converge and diverge beam only in the sagittal direction. The digital cylindrical lens consists of digital orthogonal cylindrical lenses on a spatial light modulator (SLM) and a solid cylindrical lens, and the ...

Computer holographic lens

Applied Optics, 1995
Calculation of the optical path difference between the input and the focal planes of a lens is used to compute the phase introduced by the lens. This represents a new way to create computer-generated optical elements. The phase change that takes place during the light propagation between the computer-generated hologram and the image plane is taken into

Holographically Generated Lens

Applied Optics, 1974
A holographic lens has been made that utilizes some of our earlier work on holographic aberration correction [J. E. Ward, D. C. Auth, and F. P. Carlson, Appl. Opt. 10, 896 (1971)]. The lens properties are obtained by interferometrically recording a plane wave and a pinhole generated spherical wave. The theoretical analysis is followed by the results of

Bifocal-polarization holographic lens

Optics Letters, 2004
We present a holographic lens with novel features recorded in an azopolymer film. Two holographic modulations, bulk birefringence and surface relief, are induced in the medium at the same time. The resultant holographic element has two focal planes, and the polarization of light in the focal points depends on the polarization of the incident light ...

Design of a holographic lens for the infrared

Applied Optics, 1987
Techniques are described for the construction of a holographic lens for focusing a collimated beam to a point. The lens is constructed in the visible for use in the near infrared. A major problem is to eliminate aberrations that result from the shift between the wavelength of construction and of use.

Holographic spatiotemporal lens

SPIE Proceedings, 2011
We propose a holographic spatiotemporal lens to improve spatial resolution of two-photon excitation spot as a new focusing technique of femtosecond laser pulse. Femtosecond laser pulses dispersed by a diffraction grating are irradiated to a chirped diffractive lens displayed on a spatial light modulator.
