Integrated Ultrasonic Platform for Bioelectronic Control through Biological Barriers Based on Metasurface

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A metasurface‐enabled ultrasonic platform achieves precise multi‐focal control through biological barriers, real‐time physiology‐driven modulation, and simultaneous wireless power and data transmission. By unifying wavefront engineering, closed‐loop feedback, and acoustic communication, this work establishes key enabling technologies toward scalable ...

3D Fourier imaging based on 2D heterodyne detection at THz frequencies

open access: yesAPL Photonics, 2019
Holographic imaging techniques, which exploit the coherence properties of light, enable the reconstruction of the 3D scenery being viewed. While the standard approaches for the recording of holographic images require the superposition of scattered light ...

Label-free viability assay using in-line holographic video microscopy

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
Total holographic characterization (THC) is presented here as an efficient, automated, label-free method of accurately identifying cell viability. THC is a single-particle characterization technology that determines the size and index of refraction of ...

Time-Division Color Holographic Projection in Large Size Using a Digital Micromirror Device

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Holographic projection is a simple projection as it enlarges or reduces reconstructed images without using a zoom lens. However, one major problem associated with this projection is the deterioration of image quality as the reconstructed image enlarges ...

Readout fidelity of coaxial holographic digital data page recording in nanoparticle–(thiol–ene) polymer composites [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We report on an experimental investigation of nanoparticle-concentration and thiol-to-ene stoichiometric ratio dependences of symbol error rates (SERs) and signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) of digital data pages recorded at a wavelength of 532 nm in thiol ...

Conformal Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces: A Cylindrical Geometry Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Cylindrical reconfigurable intelligent surfaces are explored for low‐complexity beam steering using one‐bit meta‐atoms. A multi‐level modeling approach, including optimization‐based synthesis, demonstrates that even minimal hardware can support directive scattering.

Maskless imaging of dense samples using pixel super-resolution based multi-height lensfree on-chip microscopy. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Lensfree in-line holographic microscopy offers sub-micron resolution over a large field-of-view (e.g., ~24 mm2) with a cost-effective and compact design suitable for field use. However, it is limited to relatively low-density samples.

Terahertz Channel Modeling, Estimation and Localization in RIS‐Assisted Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces have become a recent intensive research focus. Based on practical applications, channel strategies for RIS‐assisted terahertz wireless communication systems are categorized into three different types: channel modeling, channel estimation, and channel localization.

Combination Compensation Method to Improve the Tolerance of Recording Medium Shrinkage in Collinear Holographic Storage

open access: yesPhotonics, 2022
Holographic optical storage has great potential for enormous data storage, although the recording medium can cause dimensional change, which can deteriorate the quality of the reconstructed hologram.
