Achromatic Holographic Optical Elements

Journal of Optics, 1978
It is shown that the holographic optical elements (HOE) can be achromatised to be used with polychromatic light. The two-elements and three elements achromatic HOE systems possess negative power and hence should be used in conjunction with refractive/reflective optics.

Curved holographic elements for optical coordinate transformations

Optics Letters, 1991
A new method for performing optical coordinate transformation is presented. It is based on a curved holographic element on which the interference pattern of two perpendicular plane waves is recorded. The design procedures and results for two curved elements that perform a one-dimensional logarithmic coordinate transformation and a Gaussian-to-uniform ...

Photovoltaic concentrator using a holographic optical element

Applied Optics, 1988
A photovoltaic concentrator is proposed that uses equatorial tracking (the rotation axis of a concentrator points to the North Star), so that the change of the sun's altitude angle is minimized. The solar concentrator consists of a Fresnel lens (objective), a holographic optical element made on photoresist with 90% diffraction efficiency, and a field ...

Holographic optical system to copy holographic optical elements

1991
A holographic system formed by two holographic lenses that, when working with white light, allow selection of a particular wavelength is presented. If adequate spatial and temporal coherence conditions are obtained, it is possible to copy holographic optical elements (HOEs) with partially coherent light by using optical systems formed by holographic ...

Achromatic triplet using holographic optical elements

Applied Optics, 1977
An achromatic optical system can be made using three holographic optical elements. A very simple design scheme is presented, and the properties of the system are discussed.
