Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Research on Ice Slurry Storage Homogeneity

open access: yesZhileng xuebao, 2014
The characteristics of ice-rich layer formed during ice slurry storage and the ice slurry storage homogeneity were investigated experimentally based on the self-built experiment table, which focused on the period of ice slurry accumulation from the start

Experimental study on the influence of content and fineness of fly ash on the mechanical properties of grouting slurries

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering
Excavation gaps around the front shield can be generated during shield construction, resulting in significant ground settlement. Traditional synchronous grouting slurries are unsuitable for filling these gaps during tunneling under existing subway lines.

Acehnese culture(s): plurality and homogeneity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam is a multicultural province within a multicultural state. Hence, its political leaders not only face the need to integrate ethnic and cultural diversity into a regional framework, but also have to define Aceh’s role within the ...

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Large Homogeneous Genome Regions (Isochores) in Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.)

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2012
The landscape of plant genomes, while slowly being characterized and defined, is still composed primarily of regions of undefined function. Many eukaryotic genomes contain isochore regions, mosaics of homogeneous GC content that can abruptly change from ...

On some generated soft topological spaces and soft homogeneity

open access: yesHeliyon, 2019
We introduce soft homogeneity as an extension of homogeneity in ordinary topological spaces. Based on the generated soft topology of a given indexed family of classical topologies inspite of a one topology given by Terepeta in [16], we investigate soft ...

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.
