Distributed Energy Resources Hosting Capacity Assessment - An Industry Perspective [PDF]
Hosting Capacity (HC) analysis is a recent methodology that is used by many Low Voltage Distribution Network (LVDN) operators to address the technical limits associated with Distributed Energy Resources (DER) integration into the grid. In the literature,

Determining maximum hosting capacity for PV systems in distribution grids
Power systems face increasing challenges on reliable operations due to the widespread distributed generators (DGs), e.g., rooftop PV systems in distribution grids. Characterizing the hosting capacity (HC) is vital for utilities to assess the total amount

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Hosting capacity in the Croatian regulatory environment
Installing distributed energy resources (DERs) in low voltage networks is limited by distribution grid codes, often defining a conservative connection power threshold, especially in the case of a single-phase connection or by the network’s technical constraints.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
