Hot ductility of TWIP steels [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials Science and Technology, 2011
The hot ductility of twin induced plasticity (TWIP), 0·6 wt-C steels containing 18–22 wt-Mn with N levels in the range 0·005–0·023 wt- and the Al additions either low (<0·05 wt-) or high (1·5 wt-) has been examined. Little change in ductility occurred in the temperature range 1100–650°C as the structure was always fully austenitic.

Hot Ductility of TiNb IF Steel Slab after Hot Torsion Testing [PDF]

open access: yesMetals, 2019
The aim of the work was to evaluate the hot ductility loss in TiNb stabilized IF steel directly from the continuously-cast slab using hot torsion testing (plastometry) in the temperature range 600−1250 °C according to the basic programme, and ...

Hot Ductility Behavior of a Peritectic Steel during Continuous Casting [PDF]

open access: yesMetals, 2015
Hot ductility properties of a peritectic steel for welded gas cylinders during continuous casting were studied by performing hot tensile tests at certain temperatures ranging from 1200 to 700 °C for some cooling rates by using Gleeble-3500 thermo ...

Hot ductility of Fe-36Ni invar alloy

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2016
The hot ductility behaviors of Fe-36Ni alloy in the temperature range of 900-1200 ℃ were investigated by using a Gleeble-3800 thermal simulator. The influence factors and mechanism of action on the hot ductility were systematically analyzed by FaetSage ...

Hot ductility behavior of medium carbon sulfur-containing alloy steel

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2022
Sulfur-containing free-cutting steels are widely used because of their excellent processability. However, the crack problem of sulfur-containing steel during continuous casting production is still not solved. Therefore, this paper investigates the effect

Effects of composition and strain rate on hot ductility of Cr–Mo-alloy steel in the two-phase region

open access: yesHigh Temperature Materials and Processes, 2021
The hot tensile tests were conducted in this study to investigate the effects of Nb, B, Mo, and V on hot ductility of 25CrMo alloy steel in a temperature range of 650–850°C with strain rates of 0.005 and 0.5 s−1.

Effect of Vanadium and Strain Rate on Hot Ductility of Low-Carbon Microalloyed Steels

open access: yesMetals, 2021
Hot tensile tests were conducted in this study to investigate the effect of strain rate (10−3 and 10 s−1) and vanadium content (0.029 and 0.047 wt.%) on the hot ductility of low-carbon microalloyed steels. The results indicate that a hot ductility trough

The Influence of Precipitation, High Levels of Al, Si, P and a Small B Addition on the Hot Ductility of TWIP and TRIP Assisted Steels: A Critical Review

open access: yesMetals, 2022
The hot ductility of Transformation Induced Plasticity (TRIP) and Twinning Induced Plasticity (TWIP) steels is reviewed, concentrating on the likelihood of cracking occurring on continuous casting during the straightening operation.

The continuous casting behavior of medium manganese steels

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2021
The continuous casting behavior of medium manganese steels (MMnS: 6Mn, 6Mn–1Si, 6Mn–1Si–1Al, 10Mn–1Si and 10Mn–1Si–1Al) have been investigated and compared with unalloyed carbon steel C30.

A comparative study of hot ductility of unadded and Ce-added SA508-4N RPV steels

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2020
The hot ductility of the SA508-4N RPV steel samples, unadded and added with 0.015 wt.% Ce, has been investigated in the range 750–1000 °C. The study is carried out by using a Gleeble machine and various evaluation techniques. Between 750 and 1000 °C, the
