The Influence of Non-Nociceptive Factors on Hot-Plate Latency in Rats

open access: yes, 2010
The hot plate is a widely used test to assess nociception. The effect of non-nociceptive factors (weight, sex, activity, habituation, and repeated testing) on hot-plate latency was examined.

Change from baseline as an outcome illustrates escape behaviour of rats in hot plate method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Background: The Hot Plate test is a thermal hyperalgesia model to assess the analgesic activity of many compounds. Traditional analysis compares reaction times with controls, reports only analgesic activity without considering escape reflex.

Genetic dissection of human ABCE1 in yeast reveals separable requirements for ribosome recycling and suppression of aberrant reinitiation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human ABCE1 cannot functionally replace its yeast ortholog. Yeast–human chimera analysis identified NBD1 as a major interspecies barrier. Genetic screening yielded hABCE1 revertants that rescue yeast viability but fail to suppress aberrant translation reinitiation in the 3′ UTR.

Integrated PANoptosis Profiling Identifies Immunosuppressive Subtypes and a Prognostic Signature With Functional Validation of MLKL in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective The prognosis of glioblastoma (GBM) remains highly unfavorable, largely due to high tumor heterogeneity and an immunosuppressive microenvironment. However, the functional role of PANoptosis in this context is poorly understood. Methods Patients were stratified via K‐means clustering. A risk score model was constructed using prognosis‐

Design, Synthesis and Biological Activity Evaluation of Arylpiperazine Derivatives for the Treatment of Neuropathic Pain

open access: yesMolecules, 2011
In this work, a series of arylpiperazine derivatives were synthesized and screened by in vivo pharmacological trials. Among the tested compounds, 2-(4-(3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)piperazin-1-yl)-1-phenylethanone (18) and 2-(4-(2,3-dimethylphenyl)piperazin-

Simulation and Experimental Study on the Inhomogeneity of Mechanical Properties of Aluminum Alloy 7050 Plate

open access: yesMetals, 2020
In this work, the finite element method simulated the symmetrical hot rolling process of 7050 aluminum alloy plate. The simulation result show that different thickness layers of 7050 aluminum alloy plate experienced different temperature and strain ...

Modulation of nociception by amitriptyline hydrochloride in the Speke’s hinge‐back tortoise (Kiniskys spekii)

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, 2021
Background There are limited studies on the utilization of analgesics in testudines. Management of pain in reptiles is by use of analgesics generally used in other vertebrate species.

Changes in the withdrawal latency with a hot-plate test in resiniferatoxin (RTX)-induced neuropathy.

open access: yes, 2013
Thermal responses were evaluated by the hot-plate test at 52°C in the vehicle (open squares) and RTX groups (filled squares). Withdrawal latencies remained the same in the vehicle group.
