Unraveling the paradox of child growth in Tanzania’s breadbasket regions: impact of household food production [PDF]
Tanzania’s food supply relies heavily on crop production from its breadbasket regions (BBRs). Despite their central role in national agriculture, the 2018 National Nutrition Survey revealed a troubling paradox: five of the regions with the highest

CLRe: A Synergistic Dual‐Engine Framework for One‐Step Retrosynthesis Prediction
CLRe uses a contrastive difficulty score to order pretrained seq2seq fine‐tuning for retrosynthesis. Reaction embeddings define the ranking score, and a cumulative easy‐to‐hard schedule expands from the easiest subset to the full training set while earlier examples remain active.

Cooking Arrangements and Consumption of Ultraprocessed Foods
In both expert and lay discourse, home cooking is seen as a rampart against unhealthy eating, as epitomized by ultraprocessed “industrial” foods. Culinary discourse of this kind contributes to the creation of symbolic frontiers of class and gender.

Battery‐Inspired Electrochemical Synapses for Neuromorphic Applications
Battery‐ion‐inspired synaptic devices integrate diverse electrolyte systems (solid, ion‐gel, liquid) with transition metal oxides, two‐dimensional materials, and organic channels to regulate ion‐electron coupling. By tailoring ion transport and host interactions, these platforms enable controllable plasticity and energy‐efficient implementations for ...

Computationally Evidence‐Grounded Sequence‐First Design of Peptide Binders
BOND‐PEP enables controllable, sequence‐first peptide binder design by grounding generation in binding evidence retrieved for each target. It uses topology‐conditioned message passing to integrate relevant peptide examples with the target protein sequence, forming a residue‐level representation that guides the generation of diverse, target‐specific ...

Income Distribution in Croatia: What Do the Household Budget Survey Data Tell Us? [PDF]
The paper analyses income distribution in Croatia using the Household Budget Survey data. The results point to a mild increase in inequality during the 1998-2002 period. A non-linear increase in pensions in 2001 in favour of the better-off households has
