A Supramolecular Ferroelectric With Two Sublattices and Polarization Dependent Conductivity
Ferroelectric behavior in a supramolecular material with two, independently switchable, sublattices is demonstrated. The sublattices can be associated with the two dipolar groups in the compound. Moreover, the polarization is found to couple to the charge transport in the material, giving rise to a switchable, directional conductivity.

RNF213 is characterized as a dual‐functional antiviral effector. It directly mediates the degradation of the influenza A virus nucleoprotein (NP) while simultaneously activating the MDA5‐mediated innate immune signaling pathway. This coordinated response establishes a powerful host defense system against viral infection. ABSTRACT Influenza A virus (IAV)

Regulation of HSV Transcription.
Herpes simplex virus (HSV) transcripts share many features with both cellular mRNA and the mRNAs expressed by other nuclear-replicating DNA viruses: they are capped, polyadenylated, and generally have an approximately 150 base leader between the cap and translation initiation codon.

HSV Cheats the Executioner [PDF]
In this issue of Cell Host & Microbe, Huang et al. (2015) and Guo et al. (2015), along with recent work by Wang et al. (2014), reveal that HSV ribonucleotide reductase has opposing activities in either inducing or preventing necroptosis, depending on the host species.

Logic‐Gated HSV‐TK/GCV Suicide Gene Circuit for Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer
The BRAS comprises two modular genetic components driven by distinct tumor‐specific promoters and a failsafe layer with the NOT gate. This multi‐input logic gate circuit enables precise, specific expression of HSV‐TK in breast cancer cells with hardly expression in normal cell and effectively inhibits tumor growth in a triple‐negative breast cancer ...
