Classification of Tangerine (Citrus Reticulata Blanco) Quality Using Combination of GLCM, HSV, and K-NN

open access: yesIJCCS (Indonesian Journal of Computing and Cybernetics Systems), 2019
The quality of fruit production is very important because it is related to the value of sales. Data from the Directorate General of Horticulture at the Ministry of Agriculture in 2017 showed that 94,3% of the total yield of citrus fruits is a type of ...

HSV-1 infects human NK cells.

open access: yes, 2019
(A) PBMCs were cultured with mock infected inoculum or inoculum infected with HSV-1 expressing GFP under different viral promoters (ICP47, ICP6 or gB as specified) for 1 day. Infection of NK cells (viable CD3–CD56+ cells) was determined by flow cytometry

A Humanized Anti‐gD Broadly Neutralizing Antibody Confers Complete Post‐Exposure Protection against Pseudorabies Virus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pseudorabies virus (PRV), an emerging zoonotic α‐herpesvirus, causes life‐threatening human encephalitis. We identified a broad‐spectrum neutralizing antibody 6F7 targeting PRV gD. It blocks gD‐Nectin‐1 binding and membrane fusion, inhibiting replication across all PRV variants, representing a promising candidate for anti‐PRV therapy.

Image Classification of Red Dragon Fruit Ripeness Levels Using HSV Color Moments and the K-NN Algorithm

open access: yesJournal of Applied Informatics and Computing
Accurately determining the ripeness level of red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) is crucial for ensuring post-harvest quality and distribution efficiency.

HSV-1 L-particles interfere with the H-particle-induced IFNα response by human PBMC in a dose dependent manner.

open access: yes, 2021
(A) Coomassie blue staining of density gradient purified HSV-1 L- and H-particles. Arrow indicates position of the VP5 major capsid protein that is present in H-particles but absent from L-particles.

p300 Degradation by the p53‐SIAH1 Axis Relieves TBK1 Acetylation to Enhance Innate Antiviral Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies p300 as the acetyltransferase that acetylates TBK1 and inhibits its phosphorylation. Activation of the p53‐SIAH1 axis by immune response downregulates p300 expression to sustain innate antiviral immunity. Conditional p300 knockout in alveolar epithelial cells in vivo promotes antiviral responses and suppresses virus replication ...

Automated Ripeness Detection of Oil Palm Fruit Using a Hybrid GLCM-HSV-KNN Model

open access: yesJurnal RESTI (Rekayasa Sistem dan Teknologi Informasi)
Accurately determining the ripeness of oil palm fruit is crucial for ensuring the quality of palm oil. However, traditional manual methods are often time-consuming and less accurate.

Hyperferritinemic sepsis: an opportunity for earlier diagnosis and intervention?

open access: yesFrontiers in Pediatrics, 2016
We describe a case of an infant with HSV meningitis and septic shock who demonstrated a remarkably high serum ferritin level. Aggressive pediatric intensive care and the administration of high dose glucocorticoids were not able to reverse the multiple ...

RNA‐Binding Protein RBM25 Targets the mRNA Stability of GTPase Rab22a to Restrict Viral Entry and Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies RNA‐binding protein RBM25 as a broad‐spectrum antiviral factor acting independently of type I interferon. It blocks viral entry by suppressing GTPase Rab22a via the RC3H1‐mediated destabilization of Rab22a mRNA. Viral downregulation of RBM25 enhances GTPase Rab22a expression and viral entry, revealing an unreported post ...
