Tumor Immunotherapy and Microbiome: From Bench‐to‐Bedside Applications

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2026.
The microbiome is related to the efficacy of immunotherapy and can be utilized to predict the efficacy and adverse reactions of immunotherapy. Microbiome‐targeted intervention strategies can improve the efficacy of ICI, but necessitating more comprehensive exploration.

Expansion in CD39(+) CD4(+) Immunoregulatory T Cells and Rarity of Th17 Cells in HTLV-1 Infected Patients Is Associated with Neurological Complications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
HTLV-1 infection is associated with several inflammatory disorders, including the neurodegenerative condition HTLV-1-associated myelopathy/tropical spastic paraparesis (HAM/TSP). It is unclear why a minority of infected subjects develops HAM/TSP.

Phylogenetic Associations of Human and Simian T-Cell Leukemia/Lymphotropic Virus Type I Strains: Evidence for Interspecies Transmission [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Homologous env sequences from 17 human T-leukemia/lymphotropic virus type I (HTLV-I) strains from throughout the world and from 25 simian T-leukemia/lymphotropic virus type I (STLV-I) strains from 12 simian species in Asia and Africa were analyzed in a ...

From Genomic and Epigenomic Maps to Medicines in Adult T‐Cell Leukemia/Lymphoma

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 117, Issue 2, Page 289-296, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Adult T‐cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATL) is an aggressive and refractory hematologic malignancy that is caused by human T‐cell leukemia virus type‐1 (HTLV‐1) retrovirus. ATL results from a combination of viral latency and the accumulation of abnormalities throughout the genome, epigenome, transcriptome, and signaling pathways.

Serological Evidence of HTLV-I and HTLV-II Coinfections in HIV-1 Positive Patients in Belém, State of Pará, Brazil

open access: yesMemorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, 1998
The occurrence of HTLV-I/II and HIV-1 coinfections have been shown to be frequent, probably in consequence of their similar modes of transmission. This paper presents the prevalence of coinfection of HTLV among HIV-1 infected and AIDS patients in Belém ...

Tuberculous meningoencephalomyelitis and coinfection with HTLV-I + HTLV-II: case report Meningoencefalomielite tuberculosa e coinfecção por HTLV-I + HTLV-II: relato de caso

open access: yesArquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria, 2006
HTLV-I and HTLV-II are endemic in some areas of Brazil, where an associated disease, HTLV-I-associated myelopathy/tropical spastic paraparesis (HAM/TSP) have been diagnosed in significant number of infected individuals. Tuberculosis has been demonstrated

Prevalence of anti-HTLV-I & anti-HTLV-II antibodies in Blood donors in Bushehr Province

open access: yesIranian South Medical Journal, 2004
Human T-cll leukemia virus type 1 (HTLV-I) and HTLV-II are type C oncoviruses, members of the family Retroviridae. Blood transfusion is a transmission route. Screening for HTLV is routine in Khorasan Province/Iran.

Human T-cell lymphotropic virus type I (HTLV-I) proviral DNA viral load among asymptomatic patients and patients with HTLV-I-associated myelopathy/tropical spastic paraparesis

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Medical and Biological Research, 2005
To evaluate the human T-cell lymphotropic virus type I (HTLV-I) proviral DNA load among asymptomatic HTLV-I-infected carriers and patients with HTLV-I-associated myelopathy/tropical spastic paraparesis (HAM/TSP), real time PCR using TaqMan probes for the

DNA Diagnosis of HTLV-I

open access: yesIntervirology, 1996
Human T-lymphotropic virus type I (HTLV-I) was the first retrovirus which was directly associated with adult T-cell leukemia (ATL). Infection with HTLV-I can also lead to various other diseases, e.g. HTLV-I-associated myelopathy/tropical spastic paraparesis (HAM/TSP) and HTLV-I uveitis, possibly via induction of immunodeficiency or hyperreactivity ...

Highly Efficient Gene Expression in B Lymphocytes Mediating by Lentivirus Vector [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Gene transduction and expression efficiencies among several type cell lines were compared by using vesicular stomatitis virus-glycoprotein (VSV-G) pseudotyped human immunodeficiency virus type-1 (HIV-1) based lentivirus vector. Large discrepancies of the
