Human Platelet Activating Antibodies
Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis, 1992Platelet antibodies identified in the plasma of three multiply transfused patients and a woman who had delivered a baby with neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia were investigated for their platelet activating properties. Three patients possessed multispecific HLA antibodies reactive with 90 to 100% of the cells on a lymphocytotoxic panel.

Rational Design for Optimizing Hybrid Thermo-triboelectric Generators Targeting Human Activities
ACS Energy Letters, 2019Despite the rise in Internet of Things devices and mobile electronics, devising an energy harvester with sufficient time-averaged power remains a challenge when targeting human activities.

The T lymphocyte receptor for antigen and histocompatibility molecules is a molecular complex comprised of five polypeptide chains. Both the 49KD alpha and 43KD beta chains are immunoglobulin-like and thus contain variable domains responsible for ligand binding.

Plasminogen activator activity in human endometrial carcinoma
Gynecologic Oncology, 1985Plasminogen activator activity (PAA) has been proposed as an indicator of aggressiveness of tumors and has been shown to be hormonally modulated. To test this hypotheses in human endometrial carcinoma, tumor explants were assayed for PAA secretion and the results correlated with histopathologic criteria of aggressiveness.

Thiotaurine Modulates Human Neutrophil Activation
2015In acute inflammation, neutrophils are activated in response to several agonists generating reactive oxygen species (ROS) by NADPH oxidase-dependent mechanisms. Thiotaurine, a thiosulfonate structurally related to hypotaurine and taurine, is a metabolic product of cystine and contains sulfane sulfur which can play several regulatory roles in biological

Activated Human Granulocytes Contract Isolated Human Airways
1990Human granulocytes activated with serum treated zymosan (0.2 mg/ml) contract isolated human airways. The magnitude of the contraction depends on the number of granulocytes and the proportion of eosinophils among the granulocytes. The contraction is blocked by a leukotriene C4/D4 (LTC4/D4) receptor antagonist and by inhibition of lipoxygenase.

Proceedings of the IEEE Conference on Advanced Video and Signal Based Surveillance, 2003., 2004
The paper deals with the problem of classification of human activities from video as one way of performing activity monitoring. Our approach uses motion features that are computed very efficiently and subsequently projected into a lower dimension space where matching is performed.

This chapter emphasises the active human. The assumption behind this statement is that every human is active in one way or the other. This natural tendency is the key to human productivity. For this reason it is not necessary to make a human active in relation to an activity; what is required is to steer the individual towards the desired productivity ...
