Replication of Bovine Herpesvirus Type 4 in Human Cells In Vitro [PDF]
ABSTRACTA reference strain (Movár 33/63) of bovine herpesvirus type 4 (BHV-4) was inoculated into 14 different human cell lines and five primary cell cultures representing various human tissues. BHV-4 replicated in two embryonic lung cell lines, MRC-5 and Wistar-38, and in a giant-cell glioblastoma cell culture.

CXC-Chemokine Receptor 4 Is Not a Coreceptor for Human Herpesvirus 7 Entry into CD4+T Cells [PDF]
ABSTRACTHuman herpesvirus 7 (HHV-7) is a T-lymphotropic virus which utilizes the CD4 receptor as its main receptor to enter the target cells. Hence, HHV-7 can interfere with human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection in CD4+T cells. It was recently suggested that the CXC chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4), which was found to be a crucial ...

The aim of this work was to give an overview of murid herpesvirus 4 (MuHV-4) (synonyms: murine gammaherpesvirus 68, mouse herpesvirus strain 68), the first model for the study of human and animal oncogenic gammaherpesviruses. Based on our results confirming similarity of murine gammaherpesvirus 68 (MHV-68) to another gammaherpesvirus, human oncogenic ...

Glass eels and viruses – a lesson learnt from stocking the eastern German Baltic Sea coast
Abstract Concerns about Anguillid herpesvirus 1 (AngHV‐1) in European eels, especially due to stocking measures, is increasingly coming into focus and raises questions regarding disease monitoring and prevention. In the past, stocking of AngHV‐1‐positive eels into waters assumed AngHV‐1‐free has led to a rapid increase of infected eels in the wild. For

Inibidores de Ebna1 como alvos para terapias associadas a oncogênese do herpesvírus humano 4 / Ebna1 inhibitors as targets for therapies associated with oncogenesis of human herpesvirus 4 [PDF]

Epstein-Barr virus-positive T/NK-cell lymphoproliferative diseases in children and adolescents [PDF]
In primary Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection, the virus may infect T-cells or natural killer (NK)-cells and can cause T- and NK-cell (T/NK-cell) lymphoproliferative disease, which encompasses several disease entities with a broad clinicopathological ...

Formation of a DNA triple helical structure at BOLF1 gene of human herpesvirus 4 (HH4) genome
Eukaryotic genomes contain a large number of pyrimidine-purine rich regions and such regions can assume varied DNA conformations, including triple-stranded structures. These structures have fascinated scientists because of their considerable therapeutic applications.
