Learning to Refine Human Pose Estimation [PDF]

open access: yes2018 IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Workshops (CVPRW), 2018
Multi-person pose estimation in images and videos is an important yet challenging task with many applications. Despite the large improvements in human pose estimation enabled by the development of convolutional neural networks, there still exist a lot of difficult cases where even the state-of-the-art models fail to correctly localize all body joints ...

Evaluation of CNN-based algorithms for human pose analysis of persons in red carpet scenarios

open access: yes, 2017
We evaluate two CNN-based algorithms for keypoint-based human pose analysis on two image test sets containing red carpet scenarios, one taken under controlled conditions in a TV studio environment and another more heterogeneous data set taken from FlickR

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Efficient Human Pose Estimation in Hierarchical Context

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Most existing human pose estimation methods focus on enhancing the accuracy performance alone while ignoring the critical model efficiency issue. This dramatically limits their scalability and deployability in large-scale applications.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Contextual Rescoring for Human Pose Estimation [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the British Machine Vision Conference 2014, 2014
Given an image of a person, the problem of human pose estimation can be briefly described as localizing the position and orientation of the body limbs. The complexity of the problem comes from issues like background clutter, changes in viewpoint, changes in appearance, self-occlusions of body parts, etc.
