Human T-cell lymphotropic virus type 1-related uveitis, review about a case
Human T-cell lymphotropic virus type 1 (HTLV-1) is an endemic retrovirus associated with adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATL), HTLV-1-associated myelopathy/tropical spastic paraparesis (HAM-TSP), and HTLV-1 uveitis (HU).

ABSTRACT Human T‐lymphotropic viruses 1 and 2 (HTLV‐1 and HTLV‐2) were first isolated from patients with hematological malignancies. This study was the first to investigate the frequency of HTLV‐1 and its molecular diversity among patients with hematolymphoid cancers who were treated at a leading reference hospital in Pará, northern Brazil.

Summary Although adult T‐cell leukaemia/lymphoma (ATL) has a higher burden in certain world regions, outcomes have not been directly compared across regions. We conducted a multicentre cohort study comparing the distribution of ATL subtypes and overall survival (OS) across 1090 adults (≥18 years) diagnosed with ATL during 2000–2023 in Japan (n = 366 ...

In murine tongue cancer models, T‐mB7‐1, a triple‐mutated oncolytic herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV‐1) engineered to express soluble B7‐1, suppresses cervical lymph node metastasis and improves survival, addressing a major prognostic determinant in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC).

Global Dynamics of an HTLV-1 Model with Cell-to-Cell Infection and Mitosis
A mathematical model of human T-cell lymphotropic virus type 1 in vivo with cell-to-cell infection and mitosis is formulated and studied. The basic reproductive number R0 is derived.

Rare antigen‐negative red blood cells from pluripotent stem cells for precision transfusion medicine
Abstract Background Blood bank identification of antibodies against high‐prevalence antigens remains a challenge due to the scarcity of antigen‐negative reagent red cells sourced from blood donors. The MAM antigen, encoded by EMP3, is one such antigen associated with red cell alloimmunization and hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn. Study Design
