Abstract Dialyzed urine from healthy men exhibited inorganic pyrophosphatase activity with pH maxima at 3.5 and 8.3. The pyrophosphatase did not require the addition of either Mg++ or Ca++ for maximal activity and showed greater variation at pH 3.5 than at pH 8.3.
