Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

MEMS Humidity Sensors

open access: yes, 2023
This chapter reviews MEMS humidity sensors fabricated using microfabrication technologies. It discusses the operation principle, different designs, and the fabrication technologies for the different sensing mechanisms. Sensing humidity using capacitive sensors is first reviewed with a highlight on the different sensing materials and how their ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Humidity-Tolerant Ultrathin NiO Gas-Sensing Films

open access: yes, 2020
When the gas sensor active layer film thickness is decreased, increased sensitivity to changes in the adsorbate concentration is expected when measuring the resistance of the layer, in particular when this thickness is on the order of the Debye length of

An improved humidity sensor

open access: yes, 2022
S.1110-1115 : Ill., Lit.A common feature of all capacitance humidity sensors is their undesirable hysteresis effect due to the unequal adsorption and desorption of skater vapor on the surfaces of their dielectric porous materials. To eliminate this error,

Rapid-response humidity sensors based on ultra-thin films stacked with single-layer graphene oxide

open access: yesResults in Chemistry
Monitoring and control of humidity is important for industry, agriculture and human activities. Currently, it is achallengeto develop highly sensitive humidity sensors with both the response time and recovery time less than 1 s.Therefore, it isdifficult ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Balloon-Shaped Optical Fiber Humidity Sensor Based on PVA Coating for Respiratory Monitoring

open access: yesPhotonics
A polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-coated optical fiber humidity sensor for respiratory monitoring is proposed. The humidity sensor forms a fiber Mach–Zehnder interferometer (MZI) by bending the single-mode fiber (SMF) coated with PVA. The refractive index of PVA
